Position Summary: This position is responsible for producing new business and servicing existing accounts. List of Essential Duties: Produces revenue through sales to new and existing clients with emphasis on mid-size companies with high revenue. Provides service to clients according to their needs, retaining them as clients. Participates in team sales situations with other producers and support personnel. May manage overall client relationships and is supported by day-to-day account management. Assists, educates and develops other staff members in new client sales situations and existing client service requirements. Applies industry technologies to new sales, additional sales to existing clients and account service. Provides direction in account transfer situations. Prepares and implements an individual business plan and production budget. Develops and maintains interdivision/intercompany relationships consistent with our corporate culture. Additional Considerations: Produce new revenue production annually through sales via new and existing clients. Expected 100% of time focused on new business development. Pursue internal referrals and effectively market Gallagher Retirement Services consulting expertise related to retirement plans. Generate leads through internal sourcing, cold calls and centers of influence. Develop strategic approaches and tactics and implement those strategies to increase market awareness of Gallagher capabilities and develop new business, based upon a keen understanding of market needs and issues. Guide and provide consultative efforts to identify and solve prospect and client retirement needs and issues. Maintain an expert knowledge of Retirement Plans, ERISA, Fiduciary Issues, and DoL Regulations. Educate branch staff and clients on services available. In conjunction with the National Sales Manager and the Branch Manager, prepare, monitor, and manage a personal business plan and revenue budget. Acquire and maintain requisite licenses including: Life and Health Producer license and Series 6 and 63. Satisfy continuing education requirements. Develop and maintain interdivision/intercompany relationships consistent with corporate culture. Manage sales situations and account service to retain business and to prevent error and omission incidents. Multilevel relationship building skills with Plan Sponsors, C Level executives, Gallagher Branch managers, Gallagher producers (both P&C and H&W) Must possess excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills Ability to work towards team and individual goals with desire to build professional internal and external relationships People management skills Good time management ability Ability to embrace national practice standards Provide expertise to enable the implementation of such standards. Understanding of and commitment to maintaining knowledge of retirement industry trends, concepts, products, practices and financial arrangements. Required: Bachelor's degree, 1 year related experience, and appropriate insurance licensing required OR; Bachelor's degree, participation in Gallagher's Sales Internship Program (GSIP), and appropriate insurance licensing required OR; High School Diploma/GED and 6 years experiencewith appropriate insurance licensing required Desired: Professional certification preferred (CEBS, CPCU, CIC or ARM) Work Traits Acts independently with minimal direction Strong communication and interpersonal skills U.S. Eligibility Requirements (Standard for all U.S. Positions) Interested candidates must submit an application and resume/CV online to be considered.
