**Role Summary:**

The position of Logistics Leader at GE Caledonian Limited will be responsible for managing international and domestic logistics, customs requirements whilst ensuring the business remains complaint with HMRC legislation. This role will lead, direct and guide teams in a wide range of activities to achieve business objectives and metrics. An extensive knowledge of worldwide customs regulations is essential in this role.

**Essential Responsibilities:**

+ Lead the Logistics Team to achieve business goals and objectives

+ Manage the continued compliance with GE policy & procedures & HMRC regulations

+ Lead the process of maintaining current authorisations i.e. AEO, IPR & Known Consignor

+ Risk management of all logistics & HMRC related processes

+ Management of freight, storage and transportation related contracts

+ Provide expert advice on all logistics, compliance and legislative processes

+ Team development utilising various training opportunities to ensure continued expertise

+ Identify & implement internal / external process improvement opportunities

+ Transportation Budget management and cost re-allocation

+ Deferment Account management

+ Management of HMRC Duty & Tax savings schemes to maximise cost proficiency

+ Build and maintain productive supplier relationships

+ Management of internal & external audit processes

+ Adhere to GE Health & Safety policies **Qualifications/Requirements:**

+ Bachelor's degree or relevant professional qualification or equivalent

+ Strong leadership with a proven ability to deliver results

+ High energy levels with the ability to inspire others and drive execution

+ High level of personal integrity

+ A clear logical thinker able to analyse complex problems, develop and implement solutions

+ Capability to adapt to continual change.

+ In depth understanding of SAP ERP operating system **Desired Characteristics:**

+ Six Sigma / Lean experience
